Healthy Workplace Program
Our Belief
Here at the Town of Caledon, we realize
that a traditional workplace setting is no longer a reality for many people,
and is ever-changing. Similarly, so are the dynamics within our personal lives.
The Town of Caledon has established a comprehensive Healthy Workplace Program – a continual recognition of the
importance of providing work/life balance opportunities for our employees.
We are committed to advocate and provide
education, awareness, and resources for our employees. In turn, our employees
will gain an understanding of healthy lifestyle choices that not only allow
them to be productive and happy at work, but to also create quality time in
their personal lives. Employees are our most important resource – if we take
care of them, they will take care of our residents, business owners and
visitors.
Our Healthy
Workplace Program was recently awarded the 2005 Work &
Well-Being Award from the Canadian Mental Health Association of Ontario for
our commitment to promoting mental health in the workplace and cooperation
between employees and community agents within the workplace. This is a
testament to our ongoing dedication to employee health and wellness at the Town
of Caledon.
