Administration
As the liaison between Council and staff, the CAO and Clerk ensure Council directives
are carried out. The CAO’s office
includes the Economic Development
section which attracts and retains business and investment, and provides
support to tourism, promotion and investment; and the Communications
section which maintains internal and external communications standards. Administration includes Animal Services,
By-law and Property Standards, Customer Service, Legal
Services, Legislative Services, and the Provincial Offences Court.
Corporate
Services
Prepares the Town's
operating & capital budgets; collects municipal, regional and local school
board taxes; and houses the Capital Assets and Property Management Division,
Information Technology Section, Purchasing Section and Tax Section.
Development
Approval & Planning Policy
Responsible for the Town’s Official Plan and the Town’s Zoning By-Law
and the processing of development applications. This department consists of Building
and Support Services, the Heritage
Resource Office, Policy
and Sustainability, Development, Planning Law, Energy and Environment.
Fire &
Emergency Services
As one of the largest volunteer Fire Service in Ontario, this
department prides itself on protecting life, property and the environment.
Human
Resources
Provides human resources advice, counsel and solutions to meet the goals of Town
staff by serving as an advisor and consultant to Town staff.
Library
Caledon Public Library offers seven branches across
Caledon to meet the informational and educational needs of residents and to
promote lifelong learning, literacy and the love of reading.
Parks
& Recreation
Offers barrier-free, accessible structured and non structured active living and
leisure activities for all ages and abilities and oversees the design and
maintenance of Town parks and sports fields.
Public
Works
Responsible for the design, construction and maintenance of Town roads, storm
sewers, storm water management, streetlights, sidewalks, trails, paths,
streetscape and development design standards and assurance.
